A few words about the history of Afrodita Cosmetics
Afrodita Cosmetics’ story began in 1970, when Mrs Danica Zorin Mijošek opened her first beauty salon in Rogaška Slatina. She named it after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of beauty and love.
At that time, the local market offered only a limited choice of cosmetics. So, Danica decided to make her first face care product, a soothing cream with chamomile for sensitive skin. It was the base for the foundation for the cosmetic products under the Afrodita Cosmetics brand.

Women liked the new cream; demand increased, which led to the establishment of Kozmetika Afrodita d.o.o. In the following years, the brand became more recognisable thanks to products with mostly natural ingredients and consistent quality.
The increasing demand for Afrodita products led to new laboratories, production and a warehouse. Significant scientific progress, rich professional knowledge and invaluable experience enable the development of dermocosmetic lines that exceed the nurturing role of cosmetics.

Today, this leading Slovenian beauty house offers more than 800 high-quality products sold in 22 foreign markets. Seven beauty centres and Afrodita stores are situated in Rogaška Slatina, Ljubljana, Belgrade and Zagreb. The Afrodita Professional products are used in 19,200 beauty salons, wellness and spa centres worldwide.
Even today, its founder, owner, and long-time director, Danica Zorin Mijošek, remains at the heart of the business and comes to the office every day. Impressive, isn’t it?
