Amazing Le Morne Brabant, locsted in the soutwest of Mauritius
It is almost unbelievably that this beautiful sandy beach and impressive mountain have a tragic history.
Actually, le Morne was a shelter for runaway slaves "maroons". On 1st February 1835, slavery was abolished in Mauritius. The army began to climb to inform slaves that they are free, but they were afraid to be captured again.
And many slaves chose the death jumping from rock to avoid being punished for escape...

The Ganga Talao Temple or The Grand Bassin Temple

The Ganga Talao Temple or The Grand Bassin Temple is the most sacred Hindu place in Mauritius.
The temple stands on the former crater on the lake.
It is named due to its connection to the Holy River Ganges in India, and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Before the entrance of Ganga Talao, you can see the huge statue of Lord Shiva and the statue of Durga Maa Bhavani, the Hindu Goddess. Both statues are 33m high and look very impressive

Cap Malhereveux is a village located at the northmost point of Mauritius.
It translates to "Unfortunate/Unhappy Cape" due to the numerous ships that floundered in the past.
The beautiful bay with crystal clear water surrounds the Cape.

One of the most renowned churches in Mauritius is the Notre Dame Auxliatrice Chapel. It is a Roman Catholic Church famous for its vivid red roof, which attracts many visitors. And it is also very popular for weddings and weddings photoshoots.
