It is located in Stavros village in the Akrotiri peninsula, 17 km from Chania.
The beach is known by the scenes from the film "Zorba the Greek", where Anthony Quinn danced the famous sirtaki in 1964 🕺

In Topolia Gorge, on the way to Elafonisi beach, you can find a hidden Agia Sofia Cave, at an attitide of 400 m.
The cave was a significant place of worship in the ancient times.
Inside the cave with stalactities and stalagmites, there.is a small chapel where an icon of the "Wisdom of God" was found. The Cretan fighters brought it from the temple in Constantinople in the middle of 16th century.

⛪️ Agia Triada Monastery is located 16 km from Chania.
It was built in the 17th century by two brothers of the Venetian-Creran family.
The monastery complex looks very impressive.
You can see a grand scale and two arched entrances, the main church, living quarters for monks, a garden with arches and flowers, a souvenir shop, a museum with rare books, icons, and various items from an ordinary life, as well as the shop with wine and olive oil made by monks.
